Coins on Solana, seals on Zcash

Notara

A dated entry for every coin

Every launch
notarized
on Zcash.
Traded on Solana.

Launch a coin and Notara seals who launched it, when, and exactly what it was called into a Zcash transaction. Anyone can read the seal with a public viewing key. Nobody can backdate it.

The thesis

The coin lives on Solana. Its birth certificate lives on Zcash. A copy launched later gets a later seal, and nobody, Notara included, can move the date of the first one.

Coin = SPL token on SolanaSeal = signed memos on Zcash

1B

Tokens per coin

Fixed at launch and minted once. No mint authority, no freeze authority, no transfer fee.

10

Zcash confirmations

A seal counts after ten Zcash confirmations, then it is read back and checked against its signatures.

Two chains.
One origin.

Solana holds the market. Zcash holds the date. Each side does only what it is good at, and the seal ties them together with two signatures.

From launch
to seal.

Every coin walks the same six states, and the coin page shows which one it is in. The coin trades from the transaction that creates it; the seal never holds a launch back.

  1. LAUNCHEDSolana

    01

    The coin is created

Name, ticker, links and an optional first buy, in one transaction on Solana.

  2. QUEUEDSolana

    02

    The seal is built

Creator, slot, time, transaction and a hash of the metadata, signed twice.

  3. SENTZcash

    03

    Written to Zcash

One shielded transaction: a readable line and the signed seal in two data memos.

  4. CONFIRMINGZcash

    04

    Ten confirmations deep

Each Zcash confirmation buries the seal further under proof of work.

  5. SEALEDZcash

    05

    Read back and checked

Both signatures verify and every field matches the launch on Solana.

  6. READABLEZcash

    06

    Anyone can check it

Import the public viewing key into a Zcash wallet and the seal arrives as a memo.

Public by choice

Read it in
your own wallet.

Zcash memos open only with a viewing key. Notara publishes the one for its seal account, so the seals are not locked inside this site: import the key into a Zcash wallet that accepts viewing keys and every launch arrives as a memo. The open verifier checks the signatures the memo line cannot.
